Rehabilitation Programs

Rehabilitation Programs are provided for Workers’ Compensation and Compulsory Third Party claims and include an initial assessment and ongoing support to either assist the worker in their return to pre-injury/pre accident duties, or in commencing a new position with a new employer – depending on the rehabilitation goal. Referrals can be made for this service by medical practitioners, employers, insurers, legal representatives and workers. It may include workplace, ergonomic or vocational assessments, depending on the needs and the overarching rehabilitation goal. The program also includes close liaison and collaboration with all key parties to develop, monitor, grade and adapt a Return to Work Program for the worker. Services including work trial canvassing and job search assistance may be required for redeployment assistance

Worksite Assessments

This is an assessment completed in the workplace – most commonly with the worker and employer present – to assess the duties and physical demands of the worker’s usual role, in order to assist with planning the rehabilitation goal and subsequent graduated Return to Work Program. This assessment is also useful in examining a worker who is on alternative or restricted duties, and it may also include review and recommendations regarding the work environment. A report will then be provided with assessment findings and recommendations. The Worksite Assessment may be completed as part of a Rehabilitation Program, or as a one-off service for a compensable claim

Life Insurance Programs

We provide an individualised occupational rehabilitation program for members, depending on their rehabilitation needs. Services include an initial assessment to identify rehabilitation goals and needs, and liaison with both medical and allied health practitioners. With a focus on problem solving, we provide tailored programs and strategies to best suit the member’s needs.
